Steve Taylor BSc(Hons)
Steve has been on or around boats for most of his life, his sailing career started at the age of 12 when he raced competitively in the Cadet Class, racing at open and National level, having raced many other classes including Fireballs, Lasers and a range of asymmetric dinghies, he chose to work in an area he had a passion for.
On leaving school at the age of 16 he trained as a boat builder in Brighton Marina, learning skills in repair, refit and maintenance. He worked in Greece teaching sailing and maintaining a fleet of school boats, yachts and powerboats. He has experience of many different vessels and has a passion for wooden classics and new designs that push boundaries.
To keep up to date with new technologies and defects made in the build process, he also spends time offering training development to apprentice boat builders and runs courses in Yacht maintenance.
Steve became a bachelor of science to qualify as a yacht surveyor in 2005 after studying at Solent University.
